Once connected to network card, router stops working; can ping router, not to outside world I have an Inspiron 8100 and have seen this problem with both D Link and Linksys products. If I connect my computer to the router via the LAN connection, either router will work.
The internet will just (completely randomly, without apparent trigger) stop working completely. When I check, the router will still have an IP and the "Internet" light will still be flashing green
